We finally broke down and ordered an invisible fence. Whenever she plays outside, Daisy must now wear a special collar that beeps when she ventures too close to the edge of our property. She can still stand at the top of the hill and bark imperiously at all the passers-by on the road below; she just can't sneak off on Wednesday mornings to inspect the overflowing cans of trash set out at the ends of driveways for the garbage truck.
Daisy is confused by the new restriction,
but our neighbors are ecstatic.

Hysterical! I have friends with a beagle that has been known to (no I do not lie) paw at the oven door until she can get it open - and then eat the pizza that is staying warm from within. She has also jumped vertically 5 feet to get to food that they took to hanging to keep out of her reach (candy, etc) - she got it! Cast iron stomach apparently too! :)
Ha! The grocery bag story made me chuckle. Gotta love the fur babies.
Sounds like a great idea and definitely protection for her as well. She sounds like fun!
What a great invention - for us, not Daisy.

Some of those stories are kind of funny, but would be totally infuriating if it were my dog. I hope the fence works!
