Makes me long for the good old days when you had to sit still as a statue with a frown on your face for 5 minutes after the bulb exploded above the accordian camera. My own daughter, who is barely eleven years old, has taken up the practice of posing like an attention-starved diva just to irritate me. She took these shots of herself and her little sister on my cell phone and left them there for me to find:
Is it even possible to purse one's lips more than this?
Why, yes, mother. It is very possible.
She's even got our dog posing like an idiot.
Or maybe that is Daisy's natural expression.
Hard to tell.

I agree.
Oh too funny. My 11 year old loves to take pictures with her phone. She doesn't take a lot of pictures of herself, but she does take pictures of every odd thing she comes into contact with.
Hmmmm
Maybe she is a blogger in training.
oh, boy. I won't scare you with the sorts of pictures that come later .. you can check out Facebook for that yourself, sadly.
Is that one of the dynamic duo in the second picture??
So cute! I have many random pictures on my phone from my kids.
My son takes pictures of everyone and puts them in those weird picture frames provided in my phone. He gets a real kick out of it.
Be sure and follow my hubby on our blog. He's in heaven, I mean, Alaska as we speak.

Those pictures are so funny! But, yeah, I agree. I really don't get it.
:) I must admit that I too get caught up in making those bizarre poses. I term them creativity though. It sounds better that way :)
