I don't know what it is about our family and monkeybars, but each of my four girls has been determined from a very young age to master them. We're talking 2 years old, trying to reach for the rings! This summer, the twins finally figured out how to keep their grip while swinging ALL BY THEMSELVES.
They're getting so big! And, no, the irony is not lost on me that my brave playground soldiers are still sucking their thumbs.
Dinner last night:
chicken fried steak, mashed potatoes and gravy, corn on the cob

WOW they are doing great. My daughter never did master those monkey bars! I loved seeing the beautiful pictures from your previous 2 posts also. The scenery is spectacular. There's lots of bees around here too. We just took a walk and wherever lavender is growing there are hundreds of bees.
Hope you are enjoying your summer.

My 9 year old just conquered his fear of -well, nearly everything - and got across the monkey bars this summer.
So cute!
I remember it was a big day when I went across the monkey bars all by myself, too.
Wow, very impressive! I wonder if it's a girl thing because Bella went through a stage not too long ago where she was obsessed with learning how to do the monkey bars. Many weeks (and bloody blisters) later, she finally accomplished her goal!!
How awesome that you got that on video! She'll love seeing that when she's older!
Awwwww yes the monkey bars....lol My three older kiddoes never gave up until they mastered them......I pray Aaron decides to wait a couple years yet....
Good job girls!! =]
AWESOMENESS! :o)
I just had my husband build our guy some monkey bars. As it goes from five feet to 10, my guy won't be climbing them for a while. However, I am now able to make it across.
