As I was focusing on a sprig of purple, a buzzing bee caught my attention. I have never seen a bee's legs so heavy with pollen. That must be where the expression "bee's knees" comes from—it's really impressive to see a tiny bee carrying around such huge, brightly colored sacs of pollen. Here, I'll show you a close-up:
Woops. He hid behind a flower. Let me try the other side . . .
Dang it. There he goes again. BE STILL!
I guess a bee never rests. I'll have to settle for this shot. You can't see the pollen from this angle, but you can see how furiously his wings are moving.
I'm going to go take a nap now.
