In an effort to harness their powers of evil, we headed to the beach to let the girls pitch as many rocks as their little hearts desired into the ocean. Lessons were learned. Hitting the back of your sister's head with a rock? BAD. Hitting a floating seagull? GOOD.
The first order of business is to select the perfect rock. This kid prefers hefty-sized.
Next, you throw that sucker with all your might.
This child prefers small pebbles.
Also? She throws like a girl.
Pretty soon the entire family is down at the water's edge. It's rock fever.
Except for Daisy . . . she's too busy smelling dead things on the shore.

My youngest is addicted to rock throwing. Granted, he's 4, so it's a socially acceptable addiction. But seriously, park the kid in front of a pond with some rocks on the shores, and he's set for 3, 4 hours. Minimum.
Beautiful scenery and beautiful children. It was 95 degrees here today but I always think of Alaska as having to always wear a jacket.
This all sounds so fun! Hilarious how the two of them are such opposites in technique and object!
That does sound fun to me. That beach is beautiful.
Awww, what a great time!! I love the scenery in the background...gorgeous!!
Beautiful pictures! =] And a nice family day! =]
So Kim, did you throw a few rocks?! =]
They are SO cute lil rock chuckers!
Rock throwing was one of my favorite activities when I was that age too. Except I sometimes tried to catch them. I had stitches in my head twice. *Blush*
Skipping rocks is one of our favorite things to do at a local park. It mainly involves chucking a stone into the pond with no actual skipping, but it's still fun.
My kids are so ready to go to the lake. Too bad there's no water in it right now.
Your photos are beautiful. The scenery is awesome. What a lovely family you have.
Remind me not to make the lady in green mad! Ouch! Your pictures are beautiful, as always!
