The leaves closest to the ground are turning red.
The tree in my front yard has transformed into deep purple.
The birches higher up the mountain have exploded in glorious gold.
The wildflowers are . . . Wait a minute. What?
Where did these come from? How is this possible?
I thought summer was OVER.
Winter's not here yet, missy.

Our leaves turned too, but not in a pretty way. They are brown and dead from the heat. :(
the flowers are BEAUTIFUL!!!!!! You have to tell me, is that a packet of mixed seeds? I never got my zinnia's ordered this year and I can't tell you how sad it is to look out toward our silo and see....nothing. It's so sad! Not next year, next year I WILL have flowers. Those are beautiful!!! Last year I would cover up all the flowers I had blooming with a tarp just to keep them a little longer...and I was so glad I did :)
Those flowers are spectacular. I just want to run through that field and enjoy them.
How can the leaves be changing already? Didn't you guys just finish winter like a week ago?
Gorgeous!! I hate you now. :) My flower pots this summer literally melted into the ground..rain-goo! We did get some beautiful wild roses this year though, didn't we?
Your pics are great!
I'm totally ready for the fall, now if only this 80 degree weather will leave!
the wildflowers .... sigh .....
I love fall. :)
Beautiful wild flowers, Alaska has some beautiful scenery. :)
What a fun way to look back on the years with these links! Beautiful, beautiful fall! We don't have any signs of fall in this area (southern CA). I still don't want to think the summer is ending...
