Behold! The Power of Cheese . . .

You know how every kid goes through that awkward "cheese!" stage when you snap his or her picture and s/he breaks into a maniacal grin that looks more scary than cute? Try photographing twin 4-years-olds and see if you can get a decent smile from both of them at the same time. It's impossible, I tell you!

First, one . . .

. . . then the other . . .

. . . now both.

Can you guess what my expression looks like?

Mackenzie just did that today. She looked so cute and sweet on her knees with her chin resting on her rocking horse. My mom pulled out the camera and instantly she put on her "oriental" face. Eyes all squinty and squishy, and the big fake cheesy smile.
Your girls are SO STINKING ADORABLE! I so wish we could let our girls play together. I don't know about you, but I think that would be pretty darn cool.

we are totally in a cheese phase, with both my 5 and 3 year old. It's lovely, isn't it?

That is exactly how our pictures go. My boys have the sweetest smiles, until they see the camera, and then they turn into fake stiff silly smiles. Sigh. But your girls are just darling, cheesy smiles and all.

I might as well be telling my daughter "show your teeth" because it's not a smile as much as a pose to help the dentist get a good count.

Those are still adorable pictures even with the cheese!

I have the same problem. I usually have them sing a song together, so at least their mouths will be the same shape. :)

OMG I'm laughing hysterically because one of my 3-yr olds does that too. Only he says "cheese" and refuses to smile so all the pics looks like he's saying something (which he is, I guess)

AWW! But they're so cute, how could you ever be frustrated with them??

(Just kidding. I totally understand!)

tee hee! I LOVE the thumb sucking picture. And, don't worry, Rachel does the same darn thing.
