Thank you so much for your prayers and kind words regarding my father's recent health scare. Dad is out of the hospital and doing well; he's been ordered to rest for one week, and then he can go about his normal activities. I think that I also should rest for one week, since I'm feeling just a teensy bit verklempt and need some emotional recovery time!

When people think of Alaska, one of the first things that comes to mind is surfing. Wait. Surfing?
Yes, SURFING! Book your trip today!
Don't forget your full-body watersuit because, well . . .
frankly, you would perish in about a minute and a half without it.
Alaskan water is cold.
Note to self: I really REALLY need a telephoto lens.

I just read about your dad's health scare. I'm glad he was on top of his health to know things weren't right. Take care of yourself.
Glad to hear your Dad is doing well :o)
That water must be icy .... I don't think a wetsuit would be enough to keep me warm!
I'm glad to head that your dad is doing okay. Since my husband needs a body suit to swim in "normal" lakes, I doubt it would help him survive Alaskan waters.
I'm so glad you dad's doing well! I'm getting goosebumps just thinking about that cold water. If you had a telephoto lens I'd probably develop sympathetic frostbite!
Glad all is well with your dad.
So happy to hear it Kim. =] Hope he gets his needed rest. =]
Glad your dad is doing okay.
Those surfers are crazy!
So glad to hear he's coming through okay. When I think of surfing, I definitely don't think about Alaska!
